November 7, 2011 Plan Commission Meeting
The Plan Commission of Cicero met on November 7th at the Cicero Town Hall at 7pm.
Chairperson Terri Scheisl called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.
Plan Commission members: Terri Schiesl, Steve Hackl, Phillip Christensen, Tom Wagner, and Linda Biese were all present.
Guests were: Diane Postal Smith and Bob Wagner.
On May 19th 2011 we had a Town meeting where residents were presented with our proposal for Town of Cicero Working Lands Initiative. It was stated that you would be able to sub-divide 3 times per parcel with the main residence as 1 and 2 other 2 acre lots.
Two items will be added to the plan subdividing.
1) Exceptions may be made for lot size with pre-existing residential buildings with approval of the Plan Commission.
2) Exceptions may be made for odd parcels with approval of the Plan Commission.
A motion was made by Phil Christensen and seconded by Steve Hackl to add these items to the plan.
Four residents were invited to this meeting to discuss leaving the whole parcel out at this time so that they would have time to have the parcel surveyed once our plan is adopted with the understanding that the plan would be amended after the 1st of the year and the remaining land would go back into Farm Presentation.
The Plan Commission has decided to extend the survey deadline to July 1, 2012.
A motion was made by Steve Hackl and seconded by Linda Biese to extend deadline.
Tom Wagner asked about straightening out his lot.
Bob Wagner asked about a 5 acre parcel on East Nichols Road and 6 ½ acres on Old Hwy 47.
An agreement was made with the Plan Commission with specifics on the East Nichols Road. 5 acres on the Western border depth of the lot.
A motion was made by Steve Hackl and seconded by Linda Biese.
We discussed the Mobile Home issue. Steve will be checking with the County and the Towns Association on Ordinances in place.
Land proposals’ made tonight will be presented to the Town Board on Thursday November 10th at the monthly meeting.
Chairperson Terri Schiesl adjourned the meeting at 7:50 pm.
