REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING
January 12, 2012
Chairman Steve Hackl called the regular monthly meeting of the Cicero Town Board to order at 7:30 p.m. All board members present. The clerk and treasurer were also present.
GUESTS present included Larry Kettner, John Banker and Officer John Schuette from the Outagamie County Sheriff Department.
MINUTES Motion made by Tom Oskey and seconded by Tom Wagner that the minutes be approved as read. Motion carried and approved.
TREASURER’S REPORT Motion made by Steve Hackl, seconded by Tom Oskey. Motion carried and approved that the treasurer’s report be approved as printed.
APPROVAL OF BILLS Motion made by Tom Oskey to pay all bills for the month of January. Seconded by Tom Wagner. Motion carried and approved.
NAME OFFICIAL DEPOSITORY Currently the Town of Cicero banks with First National Bank in Seymour. The treasurer reported she has no concerns or issues with them. Motion made by Steve Hackl to name First National Bank the official bank for the Town of Cicero for 2012; seconded by Tom Wagner. Motion carried and approved.
ELECTRONICS RECYCLING OPTIONS During the tax collection in December, some residents inquired about recycling options. Chairman Hackl contacted the County for information. Contact person stated that the Town could become DNR certified to collect electronics for disposal. A list of buyers of the electronics would be provided to the Town. An option would be to open up to neighboring municipalities. Chairman Hackl to check into further and report back at the February meeting.
ORDINANCE FOR REGULATORY SIGN The ordinance presented to the Board members does not change how we are currently handling the replacement of the Town signs. The ordinance is being put in place so that the Town is in compliant with the State. Board members polled. All in agreement. Motion carried and approved.
CORRESPONDENCE
- Sheriff from County had nothing to report; all quiet for the Town
- Brief discussion regarding a shouldering attachment for leveling gravel
- Credit update – one account is paid in full with another is making monthly payments
ADJOURN Motion was made by Tom Wagner, seconded by Tom Oskey to adjourn. Motion carried and approved to adjourn at 8:06 p.m.
