REGULAR MONTHLY MEETING
April 8, 2010
Chairman Steve Hackl called the regular monthly meeting of the Cicero Town Board to order at 7:30 p.m. All board members present. The clerk and treasurer were also present.
GUESTS Attending the meeting were Larry Kettner and John Banker.
MINUTES Motion made by Steve Hackl and seconded by Tom Oskey that the minutes be approved as corrected. Motion carried and approved.
TREASURER’S REPORT Motion made by Tom Wagner, seconded by Steve Hackl. Motion carried and approved that the treasurer’s report be approved as printed.
APPROVAL OF BILLS It was motioned by Steve Hackl to pay all bills for the month of April. Seconded by Tom Wagner. Motion carried and approved.
BUILDING PERMIT RESOLUTION 5.01 Resolution for Designation of Written Building Permit Fee Schedule. Chairman Hackl passed out the resolution for the board members for review and discussion. All fees must be approved by Town resolution. After review, Tom Oskey made a motion to adopt the 5.01 Resolution for building permit fee schedule. Tom Wagner seconded the motion. Motion carried and approved.
LAWN MOWER UPDATE Chairman Hackl stopped at Fleet Farm for prices. The two mowers of interest are a 42” - 18 hp Poulan for $1099 and a 46” - 20 hp Huskivarna for $1499. After discussion of the two, Tom Wagner made a motion to approve the purchase of the 46” 20hp Huskivarna for $1499. Tom Oskey seconded the motion. Motion carried and approved.
WATER TESTING UPDATE The date is set for Thursday, May6k, 2010. There will be an ad in the paper and Clean Water Testing will be sending out postcards to all the residents the last week of April. The information is also available on the Town website. Clean Water Testing staff will be at the Town Hall from 7am to 8pm.
WITTENBERG DISPOSAL UPDATE Chairman Hackl received a notice from Wittenberg Disposal that they are filling Chapter 11 bankruptcy. Along with this notice was a letter stating that business will be as usual. If any hear otherwise, please inform Steve.
DATES OF OPEN BOOK AND BOARD OF REVIEW The date for Open Book is set for Monday, April 19, 2010 from 4 – 6pm. The date for Board of Review is set for Monday, May 10, 2010 from 6 – 8 pm.
CORRESPONDENCE
- Reminder that the Town Association meeting will be held at the Grand Chute Town Hall on Monday, April 19th at 7pm. Steve will call everyone to coordinate car pooling.
- A notice was received regarding a ‘Circumstance of Claim’. This was from an accident on Shady Road. However, this actually occurred in the Town of Seymour not the Town of Cicero.
- Outagamie County sent notice regarding the preservation of corner markers.
- MCC sent a quote for roadwork. All roadwork will go out for bids.
- Culvert damage by WE Energies ((North Electric) The contractor hired by WE Energies is now stating they will not pay the costs of repair to the damage done by one of their vehicles. The Town’s attorney recommends sending a letter directly to WE Energies.
- A notice was received informing the Town of a bankruptcy being filled by Chris Goffard.
ADJOURN Motion was made by Steve Hackl, seconded by Tom Oskey to adjourn. Motion carried and approved to adjourn at 8:30pm .
